Poor Circulation: The Proposed Route London to London .............. ![]() ..................Heading East On the evening of 21st April 2008, Poor Circulation will leave London from the Ace Cafe. Everyone is welcome to come and poke fun, kick some tyres or buy Alan Kelly a pie and it will quite possibly be your last chance to see a complete pair of fully functioning Triumph's, .. and possibly the riders too. Additionally, we'll be visiting St Tersa's Hospice in Darlington on 23rd April and Farleigh Hospice Chelmsford on 28th April before boarding a ferry at Dover on Thursday 1st May. We'll head across northern France, into Germany, Switzerland and Italy. From Italy, keeping the Adriatic Sea to our right through Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, Serbia, Albania and into Greece. Cross into Turkey and cling to the south side of the Black Sea before rising into Georgia and onwards to Volgograd in Russia. Depending on the availability of services, we may actually take a ferry across the Black Sea to Sochi in Russia before heading onto Volgograd. This would mean bypassing Georgia but a trip on the Black Sea could be adequate compensation for that. From Volgograd we then have the choice of Kazakhstan and Mongolia or to simply stay in the bosom of Mother Russia. Unfortunately certain regions of interest have been excluded from the Poor Circulation menu. India: Carnet Expense, Vietnam/Camboida/Thailand: Ban on >125cc Motorcycles and China: Beaurocratic Inertia. This means that we'll need to head for Vladivostok along the hopefully completed Amur Highway and onwards via ferry to Japan. From Japan,...... we will freight the bikes to Vancouver before riding down through America and into Mexico. In America we will be heading for Booneville California where my brother Alan lives with his family. I've just received news that Boonville's finest watering hole, 'The Hypockerty Ox' has closed for business. We had intended to remain in Booneville for several weeks while we recharged Batteries and Bellies, .. but with 'The Ox' closed, .... we may now just keep heading south. By the time we get to Mexico, we fully expect our meagre fiscal resources to be exhausted and sadly, .... this minor point means that we'll miss out on a journey into South America. Instead, we will head to the Eastern Coast of America and hopefully 'Blag' a ride back to Blighty. We anticipate a journey covering 25,000 miles through 22 countries. As for a timetable, ..... well it's a holiday, .... so no particular hurry. More details of the route, the reasons for not entering certain regions and the fun that we have experienced in dealing with various national authorities can be found on the Poor Circulation blog.
